Support Program for International Schools of Advanced Training


An International School of Advanced Training - EIFA (for its acronym in spanish), is a space for training and improvement in different areas of knowledge, organized by professors of different faculties and academic institutes of the University.

The support program for International Schools of Advanced Training is supported by the Office of the Vice President for Research and aims to offer teachers, researchers, students and professionals from other national and international universities the opportunity to update themselves on specialized topics of great importance within the global knowledge or in multi and transdisciplinary areas that are part of the missionary objectives of Universidad del Valle.

This program aims for return policies and institutional purposes for research, in order to ensure consistency between research, academics and internationalization. It is a leverage of resources for the mobility of international teachers and students participating in each of the schools.

It is aimed at teachers, researchers, students and professionals from other national and international universities.

Those interested in participating should follow the following application process:


  • FOREWORD proposal to the Faculty Council.
  • Remission of the DRI proposals approved by the relevant Faculty Council.
  • Reception of study and selection of proposals submitted to the DRI depending on requirements.
  • Communication with the Faculty about the approval or not approval of the proposal (by the DRI).

Requirements:

1. Have the approval of the Faculty Council according to the following criteria:
  • Scientific and academic quality.
  • Articulation with the development plan of the Faculty or academic Institute.
  • Certification of the scientific background of guest lecturers.
  • Other proposals that have other economic resources.
  • Promotion of Inter institutional collaboration.

2. To register international visiting professors imparting the EIFA, it is required to manage the Faculty Council the resolution or the honorary visiting professor.

3. Complete the application form, attaching the complete required documents.

4. Send from the deanship of the Faculty or Dirección del Instituto Académico, the format and documents 45 days in advance to the EIFA.
