In Account of their Excellent Academic Performance, Industrial Engineering Students Received a Scholarship from the Ternium Company

Students Mayra Robayo, Carolina Meneses and Estefanía Lozano, currently on the ninth semester of the Academic Program of Industrial Engineering, received an economic scholarship granted by the company Ternium due to their excellent academic performance.

This calling was made at the end of February 2017, to which five students from the ninth semester of Industrial Engineering of Univalle tried out. This is the second time the company Ternium delivers these scholarships for students of Public Institutions of Higher Education. In the 2016 edition, the winners were two students of Electronic Engineering and Industrial Engineering in Univalle.

The requirements to compete for this scholarship were: Not to have lost any subjects since the beginning of their undergraduate, their overall average grade, last semester’s average grade and finally, a selection interview.

The Human Resources Manager for Colombia and Central America from Ternium, Martín Ceballos and Mónica Suárez from Human Resources for Ternium, accompanied the Director of the Industrial Engineering School, Diego. F. Manotas and the Director of the Industrial Engineering Program, Camilo Micán. Professors Leonardo Rivera and Martha Quintero from the Univalle Industrial Engineering School were also present.

Martín Ceballos, Manager of Human Resources for Colombia and Central America at Ternium, emphasized that young students are the only ones responsible for their future, so they must strive and dedicate themselves to their academic training.
